Wool

I fell in love with knitting as soon as I picked it up. The hobby offers such depth and vast territories to explore: there are thousands of techniques and stitches, a connection to nature via the materials you choose, a rich history that has myriad particularities depending on geographical region, and of course it is greatly tactile. Knitting engages almost every sense, from the softness of superwash merino and the scratch of Icelandic wool to the smell of lanolin and the esthetic satisfaction of seas of color and texture.
